スウェーデンのBirkaで発見されたカード織りの出土品の一部を再現し、クリップに加工しました。
黒地に金色の刺繍糸を入れています。

穴をあけたカードに2-6本の糸を通し、カードを回しながら模様を織っていくカード織り。
一般的な機織りの布に比べ厚みがあり、糸が絡み合うため非常に強くなります。
ヴァイキングの時代には、カード織りに、錦織りの技法を用いて金糸や銀糸を織り込んだ紐を、洋服などの縁取りとして使っていました。

クリップ部分はギザギザ加工されているので、ヘアクリップとしてもお使いいただけます。
